National Fall Prevention Stand-Down is designed to raise awareness of preventing fall hazards in construction. Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continue to be a leading cause of death for construction workers, accounting for 291 of the 828 construction fatalities recorded in 2013.
May 4-15th, of this year, ARCO participated by talking directly to their employees about safety, focusing on “Fall Hazards” and reinforcing the importance of “Fall Protection”.
ARCO Design/Build had 100% participation from 25 superintendents on a total of 19 active jobsites. To add an extra element to their Stand-Down training, ARCO Safe held a contest for the best photo taken during a safety talk and/or training session.
