G&C Foods and ARCOLD, a division of ARCO Design/Build, recently celebrated a significant milestone: the groundbreaking for G&C’s new build-to-suit food distribution facility in Alachua, FL. With bright and shiny shovels in hand, they marked a momentous occasion joined by key stakeholders, including G&C team members, family and friends, the Mayor of Alachua, and representatives from the local Chamber of Commerce.
Spanning over 250,000 SF, ARCOLD’s cutting-edge facility, designed by ARCOLD’s integrated partners, is a model of efficiency and durability. Situated on 70 acres, with room for future expansion up to 270,000 SF, this facility will feature 82,000 SF of -10° freezer space and 100,000 SF of 34° refrigerated space, totaling approximately 22,000 pallet positions.
